One very rare accessory, I have only seen two of these in 10 years.
This one has never been used and is brand new.
The Drake Surge Shunt, Transient Arrester, Model 1549 goes in series with the
antenna lead to your rig, it has a large bolt for connecting to a ground rod

Drake R-4C Receiver, All Original, Collectors condition
The Drake R-4C Receiver Here is a delightful receiver to own, Recently serviced (July 2012) The serial # is 21410.
Supplied exactly as shown, I replaced the panel lamps as they were on the way out and I also checked the alignmnet and its it real good shape.
The R.L. Drake Company produced the R-4C as the final refinement of their previous popular R-4, R-4A and R-4B models.
The R-4C covers: 3.5-4, 7-7.5, 14-14.5, 21-21.5 and 28.5-29 MHz plus fifteen additional 500 kHz crystal positions (with optional crystals see other accessories to locate some Xtals).
Modes of reception include: SSB, CW, AM and RTTY.
The dial accuracy is and impressive ±1 kHz. Features include: PBT, Line out, Crystal Calibrator (25 kHz), RF Gain, Mute Jack, Speaker Jack, Anti-Vox Jack, Dial Lamp and Spinner Knob.
This radio requires an external speaker like the MS-4 I have listed.
