TYT TH-UVF1A Dual Band Transceiver, Very High Spec, Amazing Value, This is the BRAND NEW "A" Model 2.5KHz Splits
It has had all of the quirks taken care off and is a very nice rig to now
operate.
Listed below is the differences between the now current
model and the older model
1. If it has a SMA male connector on top of the radio body it is an UVF1A
2. The UVF1A has a female SMA connector
3. The UVF1 has 2.5kHz, 5 kHz, 6.25kHz, 10 kHz, and 12.5 kHz
4. The UVF1A has 2.5kHz, 5kHz, 6.25 kHz, 7.5 kHz, 10 kHz, and 12.5 kHz. The
addition of 7.5 kHz was done to allow the radio to
tune the split channels assigned by the FCC for narrow band channel
assignments.
5. The UVF1A has several firm ware revisions such as improved scanning
and others
6. The UVF1A makes an excellent dual band ham rig and can be programmed
for any ham band world wide

Please note the display is dot matrix
We managed to have had a prototype we were playing with that we managed "ok" results on the 1.2 band however it is not cost effective and we have found time consuming to offer this as an option and as I understand it if we sell a modified transceiver then it will itself need to be tested to see if it meets FCC aproval so bottom line, sorry it does not seem worth it at this time.
I have to say though, this is an excellent dual band transceiver and the Dot Matrix display makes it clear and easy to read.
